Castillo v. Cleaver Brooks, Inc., et al.
Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP secured a dismissal during the first day of voir dire. The dismissal was followed after several motions in limine were granted in our client’s favor and all of Plaintiff’s motions were denied.
This case arose from Mr. Castillo’s mesothelioma diagnosis allegedly caused by asbestos exposure while serving in the Navy and working as an apprentice and refrigeration technician at a frozen food manufacturing facility in Riverside California. Plaintiff originally sued 19 defendants. At the time of dismissal, our client was only one of two defendants remaining at trial. Robert Thackston and Paula Pendley were assisted by Ana Portillo in preparation for trial.
