The Banking and Finance Group represents large national, regional, and community banks and financial institutions, including investment banks, mortgage lenders, and commercial lending and finance companies. The Firm defends claims based on account and check fraud under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), including large embezzlement claims involving commercial accounts. Such claims have involved lawsuits alleging conversion, forged signatures, and forged endorsements, as well as claims arising from counterfeit checks. The Firm has an outstanding record of establishing no liability on behalf of banks and significantly limiting exposure on these claims.
