Many of our attorneys hold leadership positions in state and local bar associations and other non-profit organizations that are dedicated to legal education and mentoring opportunities in a diverse community. We support these attorneys by, among other things, sponsoring and participating in programs for minority organizations, including but not limited to the National Bar Association, Corporate Counsel for Women of Color, Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Latin American Association, and Defense Research Institute’s Diversity Committee.
According to the most recent National Association for Law Placement (NALP) Legal Employers survey, HPTY meets or exceeds the national diversity averages for law firms of our size. In the 2016 Law Firm Gender Index presented by Bloomberg Law, we received an A- rating amongst 1,200 firms in the United States, which used advanced data mining techniques to compare firms and offices against each other on a very granular level to determine which firms are actually succeeding in their gender diversity efforts. Simply stated, our success in attracting and retaining diverse lawyers evidences our commitment to inclusion and diversity.
