Amy R. Gilbert
Amy Gilbert is an associate attorney in the San Francisco office of Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP. She focuses on defending manufacturers in litigation involving premises and product liability related to toxic exposures from asbestos, silica, and various chemicals. She has litigated cases concerning industrial equipment, automobiles, automotive parts, building supplies, and various consumer goods. Amy is involved in cases from pleadings through resolution, including initial responses, discovery, drafting motions, and trial preparation.
During law school, Amy served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert W. Gettleman in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also interned at the International Organization for Adolescents (IOFA) and Lawyers for Children. Upon graduating she served as a Loyola Public Interest Law Fellow for LAF (formerly the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago) and a law clerk for the Honorable Mary L. Mikva and the Honorable Celia G. Gamrath in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division.
