Alexa Mizer is an attorney in the Dallas, Texas office of Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP. She defends corporations against complex product liability, toxic tort, and environmental litigation involving catastrophic injury, premises liability, and property damage. Alexa participates in all phases of litigation from pretrial hearings, discovery, and depositions to drafting motions and attending trial.
Before joining HPTY, Alexa worked as an analyst with the House Research Organization for the Texas House of Representatives. Originally from Missouri, Alexa obtained her J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law, where she was on the Arkansas Law Review and President of the Environmental Law Society. She was a research assistant to Dean Cyndi Nance, a student attorney with both the immigration and human trafficking clinics, and an extern for the Walmart Realty Energy Team and Walmart Legal U.S. Regulatory Compliance. Alexa earned a B.A. in sociology and criminal justice, with a minor in sustainability, from the University of Arkansas.
