Teresa E. Lazzaroni
Teresa is a member of the Tort Litigation Team with an emphasis on insurance defense, construction litigation, premises liability, and professional negligence. She serves professionals with complex asset and high income estates, prominent business owners, Fortune 500 companies, and medical or law practices. Her ability to focus on the relevant legal issues has resulted in a successful motions practice and has been effective to force settlement in otherwise complex cases. In addition, Teresa’s practice includes family law with an emphasis on divorce, complex asset division, child support, legitimation, paternity, child custody and modification of prior court orders.
Prior to joining Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP, Teresa served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia. Her appellate practice successfully upheld over one hundred orders terminating the parental rights of neglected and abused children. In addition, as a Special Assistant Attorney General working with the Cobb County Child Support Enforcement Office, she represented the interests of over 7,000 children and instituted legal proceedings to collect millions of dollars of past due child support for the children of the State of Georgia.
