Margaret Droppleman is a partner with Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP. Margaret’s practice primarily focuses on defending manufacturers, suppliers, and premises owners in toxic tort and environmental litigation. In addition, she has substantial experience in handling a wide variety of contract and corporate law matters.
Margaret is vastly experienced in managing thousands of complex toxic tort litigation cases from initial investigation through trial. For over a decade, she has acted as local and regional counsel for numerous companies with diverse product lines, as well as unique corporate histories, stories, and structures. Professional Experience
Toxic Torts and Product Liability Practice
Margaret has extensive experience trying complex toxic tort litigation, including asbestos and silica matters not only in single plaintiff, but also consolidated and bifurcated, formats. She is a skilled litigator and innovator, actively participating with defense committees to provide favorable litigation management plans for her clients. She frequently introduces, negotiates, and implements Case Management Orders and other strategies that improve the case flow of pending and newly filed litigation, which is instrumental in achieving favorable resolutions in behalf of her clients of thousands of lawsuits.
Contracts and Corporate Experience
Margaret has a wide range of experience and skill in corporate, commercial, and contract law matters. She represents both publicly and privately held corporations in large, domestic and foreign transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and the drafting and negotiation of varying types of commercial agreements, including product licensing and research and development.
